Not all who wander are lost... some are just storm chasing - Jina Olbinski

Milky Way

Hey all, I'm a third year graduate student at the Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2019 with a BS in Astronomy, Physics, and Applied Math. In my free time I do amateur photography, and I dream of someday going storm chasing.

Teaching and Outreach

In Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 I taught a lab section of the introductory non-major astronomy course, AST 1001. I have also given several Universe in the Park and Universe at Home outreach talks and I was the invited keynote speaker for the MnSGC Student Symposium.

Green Pea Galaxy

I am currently working under the direction of Claudia Scarlata studying Green Pea galaxies, which are close analogues of the faint galaxies that dominate high-z samples and likely re-ionized the universe. (Image source: Ivana Orlitová).
