Previously, in the falls of 2003 and 2004, Phys 4051,so-called the "Methods Class." We learn electronics which are usefulto physics experiments - analog, digital, computer interface and computerprogramming. In the spring (4052) students carry out real experiments inpairs.
During the previous few years, I taught Phys 3071,which is for elementary education major students to satisfy sciencerequirement. This class is full of hands-on experiments and simulations, andyou take charge of making sense of various physical phenomena. A lot of classdiscussions to hear your classmates points of view, too. But carriculum is verysystematic and you will be guided to get right ideas about physics concepts.Great class to learn how to think.
Before that for several years I taught 1301/1302(introductory physics) 1301 includes kinematics, forces, Newton's Laws ofmotion, energy and momentum and 1302 teaches electricity and magnetism. If youare interested in department-related information click
