Research Interests
I do experiments to determine the characteristics of the fundamental
forces in Nature using both particle accelerators and non-accelerator
techniques. My main current interest in the MINOS long-baseline neutrino
oscillation experiment, which will generate a beam of neutrinos at
Fermilab near Chicago and send the neutrinos 730 km through the earth
to a 5 kiloton detector at Soudan MN. The purpose of this project
is to measure neutrino mass differences and gain a better understanding
of the weak interaction.
