End? of Shower Studies

A plot of E9/E25 for all showers, showers from real photons, and showers from real photons that pass the E9/E25 cut.
E9/E25 distribution by energy for showers that come from real photons and those that come from all other sources (other particles and noise).
The contour of the E9/E25 OK cut.
φ vs. cos(θ) for showers that pass all my default shower cuts.

My default shower cuts:

E9/E25 studies

The E9/E25 distribution of trackless showers (before and after an E9/E25 OK cut).

The E9/E25 distribution vs. Energy without and with the restriction that E9/E25 must be OK.

Effects of hot channel rejection

The cos(θ) distribution of showers with and without a hot channel rejection given: Zoomed in on only those with a hot channel rejection.

Just for some confusion, the φ vs. cos(θ) plot (lacking the E9/E25 and hot channel cuts).

Showers (passing splitoff and π0) by bb-meson type)

Meson breakdown of shower energies.

Effects of Splitoff and π0 on Eta reconstruction

Angular distribution of photons in Eta rest frame (550 MeV < p&eta < 650 MeV).
Same effect, but with photon energy.
Eta momentum.

Energy distributions of showers

π0 and splitoff suppression.

By origin of shower

Initial Pi0 photon suppression results

Signal Monte Carlo (50 events; Etas restricted to w/in 50 MeV of 600 MeV)

Type of reconstructed Eta # of Events
Real Etas (no suppression) 24
Fake Etas (no suppression) 13
Real Etas (suppression on) 16
Fake Etas (suppression on) 4

Generic Y(3S) Monte Carlo (7000 events; Etas restricted to w/in 50 MeV of 600 MeV)

(sig.2 to background doubles.)

Angular distribution of Eta->Gamma + Gamma photons in Eta rest frame.

Note: Eta momentum restricted to 550 MeV - 650 MeV.

Without pi0 suppression.

With pi0 suppression.
