I am very involved with soccer in Minnesota. I currently coach girls u17 soccer teams for Bangu Tsunami Football Club (now the Minnesota Thunder Academy). The season typically lasts from November until the following August, with the older players playing with their high schools in the fall and the younger kids continuting fall club training virtually year round. In the fall, I am an assistant coach with the women's soccer program at the University of St. Thomas, where we are competing for a MIAC championship. I am very interested in higher level soccer coaching (and playing and watching), particularly in improved technical and tactical teaching methods as well as sports psychology and how it applies to women's soccer. In addition to coaching, I currently play for the Blackhawks in the top division of the Minnesota Amatuer Soccer League (MASL). Collegiately, I played club soccer at the University of Minnesota as a graduate student, and the University of California at Berkeley, as an undergraduate. |
