King Alcohol

Once I believed King Alcohol
could solve all my problems
I had confidence in the King
but not in myself.

Sponcored by the mighty bottle
I raced down the highway of destruction
littered with broken bodies
and bankrupt souls.

Today I saw the king unmasked
a snarling purple gargoyle
on a throne of hissing serpents
pouring drinks and more drinks.

Crashing through the walls of denial
I left the King's army in the dust
rode high on a horse called Sobriety
protected by a pink cloud.
