VV's Monte Carlo showed a big advantage in measuring Cerenkov radiation twice at stations separated by 150m. We have dismantled our old installation on the tower and are rebuilding the Cerenkov system as two stations, one on the old tower and one at a new location down the hill.
The lessons learned:
The remote station has its own microprocessor for HV and door control. Calibration pulses are generated at the remote.
So far, we have seen pulses from the remote in the trailer operating the remote in a very hands-on mode.
