Welcome
to my personal web page. I am currently a PhD student in School of
Physics and Astronomy, University of Minnesota. I am expecting to
graduate by spring 2010.
My research interest is centered
around theoretical cosmology and its intersection with particle
physics. My PhD research mostly focused on cosmic inflation. During the past
years, I wrote papers on cosmological perturbations, CMB
anomalies, supersymmetric flat directions, reheating and
preheating. A complete list of my publications can be seen from the
links on the left.
A few notes about my name:
-
For some unkown reason, people have diffuculty in pronouncing my last
name. Here is a
decent, yet not perfect pronunciation, generated by espeak
speech synthesizer.
- Due to a difference in western naming
conventions, people often assume that my name is "Ahmet". However, in
Turkey, the name that comes second is the given name. (This explanation
becomes even more confusing when you try using terms like "first name"
and "middle name").
